My Review of the Elephant Man

I give this movie a thumb up. It really touched me how people would treat John Merrick and how they would take advantage of him. I felt proud that he stood up for himself when he was returning from France and his words. I was like you tell them when John Merrick said, “ I am not an elephant! I am not an animal! I am a human being! I am a man!” I was like “aww so nice” when Ms. Kendal came to John’s room and they connected when they were doing the role-play of Romeo and Juliet. The kiss that Ms. Kendal gave to John and how she dedicated the theater performance to him was so generous of her. I believe she had a thing for him. I was shocked when we discussed the movie and what it symbolized. I didn’t see it that way during the whole movie. I admired the amazing make up they did on John Hurt.
